Building trust
&
Support
for work that matters
Sequoia works with organisations navigating complex decisions and change.
We help leaders shape strategy, involve the people affected by their work, and communicate clearly so important ideas are understood and trusted.
Because good ideas are only part of the challenge, the real work begins when they move into practice.
Real change happens when people understand and support it.
Organisations succeed when they bring people with them, building understanding, trust and confidence in the work ahead.
Many organisations today are delivering initiatives that shape communities and public life, shaping policy, delivering cultural programmes, protecting places or addressing environmental challenges.
But this kind of work often affects many different people. Decisions can be complex, priorities can compete, and even well-intentioned ideas can struggle if people don’t understand them or trust how they are being carried out.
Building understanding and support is often the hardest part.
This is where Sequoia focuses its work.
How we help
At Sequoia, our work focuses on three things that help organisations move complex initiatives forward:
Direction
Helping organisations think clearly about what they are trying to achieve and why it matters.
understanding
Listening to the people affected by decisions and ensuring different perspectives shape the work.
Clarity
Communicating clearly so people understand what is happening and have confidence in the work.
When these three things come together, organisations are able to move forward with trust, legitimacy and support around their work.
Work we’ve supported
Organisations tend to work with Sequoia when they are setting a new direction, involving people in important decisions, or building understanding and support around complex work.
Recent work includes projects with:
Direction
PRONI — Public Record Office of Northern Ireland
Sequoia worked with PRONI, Northern Ireland’s national archive, to clarify organisational priorities and future direction. The work included stakeholder consultation and the development of PRONI’s first marketing and digital content strategies, helping strengthen public engagement with the archive.
Understanding
Arts Council of Wales — International Showcasing Evaluation
Sequoia was commissioned to evaluate eleven years of Arts Council Wales’ investment supporting Welsh artists at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The work combined funding analysis with insight from artists and stakeholders to assess long-term impact and inform future cultural investment.
Clarity
Armagh Observatory & Planetarium
Sequoia worked with the leadership team to support the development of a long-term vision for Armagh Observatory & Planetarium. Through strategic workshops and stakeholder insight, the work helped clarify priorities and strengthen the case for future investment.
Organisations tend to work with Sequoia at moments of change, when they need to think clearly about direction, involve the right people and build confidence around the work ahead.
If you are navigating a complex decision or developing a new initiative, we would be happy to start a conversation.
